Description | Norecopa is Norway's National Consensus Platform for the advancement of "the 3 Rs" (Replacement, Reduction, Refinement) in connection with animal experiments. Norecopa was founded on 10 October 2007. Norecopa's secretariat is attached to the Norwegian Veterinary Institute in Oslo. Norecopa receives an annual allowance from Parliament which pays for a 50% secretarial position. Norecopa is, however, an independent member organisation, with a Board consisting of 4 members (each with personal deputies) representing the four stakeholders in animal research. |
