| Description | With a new high-tech Brain-on-a-Chip technology Braingineering Technologies (BTech), a spin-off of the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB), supports pharmaceutical companies in the drug discovery and pre-clinical testing phase to identify compounds that are promising to pass the clinical trials by providing relevant in vitro models. BTech focuses on neurodegenerative diseases: Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and further diseases. The advantages to 2D in vitro and animal testing is that the 3D Brain-on-a-Chip technology mimics human neurodegenerative diseases more adequately, it enables medium throughput screening, it reduces animal testing and it ensues low costs for the customer due to less media. |
